All of her life, Heidi has had a special connection with animals . She grew up in a household with an abundance of furry friends that included at least 9 cats, 3 dogs, and 5 rabbits. Her family was notorious for taking in all of the neighborhood strays, among which was a cat named “Skitty” who wouldn’t let anyone else except Heidi go near him. Her patience, love, and tenacity could win over the hearts of even the most timid and reluctant of creatures.
Today, Heidi is known for her urban farm, the Itty Bitty Farm in the City, where she keeps all kinds of critters including goats and chickens. Her work has been featured in the New York Times and the Huffington Post. To see her in action, watch this short documentary:
Over the past few years, Heidi has worked with several professional dog walking companies in San Francisco. In 2012, she launched her own business, Urban Animal Adventures, where she continues to nurture and love the animals that she comes into contact with.
